1. Deposit:
You may be required to place a deposit at the point of admission. Payment can be made in cash, NETS, local cheque or credit card (VISA, Mastercard or Diners Club).
Partial or full waiver of deposit is accepted if a Letter of Guarantee from an employer or an insurer is available.
A non-resident patient will need to furnish a letter of guarantee from a local firm or insurance company or a banker's guarantee.
2. Request to Change Accommodation Status:
The patient may request to change to a higher or lower class ward at any time during the hospitalisation stay except when the patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
3. Change of Accomodation:
a) To a Ward in a Higher Class
Upon your request, a deposit will have to be paid and an application of retrospective charges will be submitted. *
*Please note that all services utilised at the lower class will be charged at the higher class rate from the time of admission. Ward charges for the upgraded class ward will be effective from the date of transfer.
b) To a Ward in a Lower Class
Subject to bed availability, upon your request, hospital charges and ward fees will only be affected when the patient is physically transferred to ward of lower class. **
**Please note that this type of request cannot be processed 24 hours prior to discharge.

Medisave (Back to top)
You and your immediate family members i.e. your spouse, children, parents or grandparents (For grandparents, they must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents) can use Medisave to pay your hospitalisation bill and the approved outpatient treatments incurred at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
During registration, you should inform the hospital staff that you wish to use your Medisave to pay. You should also bring along your NRIC/Passport or your CPF membership card. You will also need to sign a Medisave Authorisation Form authorising the CPF Board to deduct from your Medisave Account to pay for the hospital bill.

Medishield (Back to top)
Medishield is a catastrophic medical insurance that helps CPF members and their dependants meet the costs of treatment for serious illness or prolonged hospitalisation.
You need to inform the staff handling your admission that you wish to claim from Medishield. The hospital will submit the Medishield claim on your behalf to the CPF Board. After processing, the Board will pay directly to the hospital. The remaining amount which is not covered by Medishield may then be settled by patients either with Medisave or cash or both.
Private Medisave-approved Integrated Shield plans (PMI) (Back to top)
Apart from the MediShield scheme, there are other Medisave-approved Integrated Shield plans offered by private insurers. PMI is a scheme which allows CPF members to use their Medisave savings to buy Medisave-approved Integrated Shield Plans for themselves and their dependants.
Each insured person can only have one Medisave-approved Integrated Shield Plan paid with Medisave.
